The basket is also a great way to present some homemade goodies to a sick friend or elderly person who can't get out. It will brighten their day and the basket will be useful long after the goodies are gone. The cutting file for the basket can be found in the Pazzles Craft Room. Create it using some cardstock in fresh, new colors and prints to perk up those gloomy January days. The Inspiration will cut and perf the fold lines in one step, and before you know it you will be inspired to completely re-organize your craft area!

1. Gather your supplies.
2. Cut all pieces for the basket on your Pazzles Inspiration electronic cutter.
3. Fold the basket base as shown. All straight lines will be folded in towards the center of the paper. Then fold the diagonal lines down.
4. If desired, ink the edges of the squares and triangles.

5. Glue squares and triangles to both sides of the basket base. Note: Leave a little space between the diagonal fold lines and the triangles.
6. Mark approx. 3/4" down from corner for punch hole. Make sure you are in far enough from the edge that the paper will not easily tear.
|
7. Pinch corner and punch hole. Do this for all four corners.
8. Thread binder ring through the corner holes and close.
9. Add ribbon or tulle to ring if desired.
10. Optional: If you want a center cup to hold pens, cut slits at the base of a cardboard tube, and then snip at an angle as show. Fold the tabs in to create a base for gluing.
11. Cut off the top of the tube to the desired height. Cover in matching cardstock.
12. Glue the cup to the inside of the basket and weigh down until the glue is dry.
